2016 Presidential candidate, hillary clinton
persuasive paper:
HIllary clinton for president
Are you not sure who to vote for this coming election for 2016? Look no further, I have the perfect candidate for you! Former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, should be our first female, democratic president for 2016.
Hillary Clinton has changed her mind too much in very big ways. Who once was a republican is now a democrat. Clinton’s position on same-sex marriage has also changed over time. In 2008, she would not support same-sex marriage. Yet, again she changed course in March 2013 and supported same-sex marriage saying “gay rights are human rights.”
Having a politician who changes her mind often could be worrisome, but policies have changed, issues have changed, and times have changed. Republican policies from the 1960’s are different from republican policies today. Plus, her newer views on same-sex marriage can better our country, equality is needed. Clinton is also a feminist, which can help with wage gaps and other problems facing equality for females, too. “I don’t think feminism, as i understand the definition, implies the rejection of maternal values, nurturing children, caring about the men in your life. That is just nonsense.” says Clinton.
Hillary Clinton, presidential candidate 2016, can only be president if we make her president. “Children today will grow up taking for granted that an African American or a woman can, yes, become the president of the United States."
